Highlights of India Today Malayalam issue dated July 30th, 2014. As the talks of cabinet reshuffle live on the air, India Today has caught the chief minister Oommen Chandy on record in an exclusive interview. He reveals that the reshuffle is on cards and he had once promised K B Ganesh Kumar, the minister who resigned after his wife came out with allegations of domestic violence, to reinstate once the case is settled. He also blames the advisors of Rahul Gandhi, who, he think, seem to have misguided Rahul on some matters. The ascension of Amit Shah as BJP president heralds the party's sea-change captioned by Narendra Modi. A big story discusses how this is going to change the party's fortunes as Shah, the youngest of BJP presidents, is in good terms with RSS. The disputes on controversial Karuna estate on Nelliyampathi were discussed in an investigative story. The highly controversial meeting between Ved Prathap Vaidik and Hafis Muhammed Said was featured in another notable story. The newly emerging mental trouble which is caused by mobile phones- Nomophobia- was discussed in a thought-provoking report. It is estimated that as India becomes more mobile dense, more people, especially teenagers, are falling victim to this particular mental problem. As Germany lifts Fifa world cup this year, it is the testimony of their unity as a nation despite their horrible past, writes Peter Pomerantsave. The present state of Sai Baba's empire in Puttaparthi and how it is managed by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) are discussed in another important story. Obituaries on writer Nadine Gordimer, actor Sohra Sehgal and Malayalam director Shashikumar also find space in the issue
