The 136-137th issue of G’nY is devoted to the Geoheritage sites of India. India’s geological diversity is as rich as its cultural diversity. The 138th issue of G’nY, titled ‘Migration and Development’ is dedicated to the analysis of different patterns of migration as well as its inevitability and importance. Historically, migration has been one of the key driving factors behind the development of any region. Techniques of water use efficiency, conservation methods such as rainwater harvesting, recycling and reusing grey water are discussed in detail. We speak with the ice man of India, Mr. Chewang Norphel on the techniques of creating artificial glacier and its usage. In the India Outdoors section, we take you Santiniketan, where Rabindranath Tagore started Patha Bhavana, the school of his ideals.
