In this issue

Bharatnatyam dancer Priyadarsini Govind, now the director of Kalakshetra Foundation, India\'s premier institution for artistes and the performing arts, epitomises the self-assured grace of festive India to come on our cover. Starting with Ganesh Chathurti this month, the elephant-headed god\'s birthday, to the nine-day festivities of Navratri in October, to Diwali in November and Christmas in December, India dons the glitzy attire of fun, food and laughter, relegating the chaos of everyday reality temporarily to the background. Our Thought Leader for the month, Ravi Venkatesan, ex-chairman of Microsoft, however, brings the chaos right back into focus, telling us why it is important to embrace it to succeed in India. Do check out our A to Z column this month, for a pocket version of India\'s slang words, and take a walk along India\'s culturally diverse coastline in our Feature story. As always, there is more, so do read on!
