The Literature Today Magazine - January 2026
The Literature Today Description:
The Literature Today was founded in the year 2021 and has enriched many lives through different hues of literature. Published as a quarterly magazine, the journal was initially started with a focus on bringing budding authors on a greater podium through the column of Book Reviews. Gradually, along with updating the readers’ market with the latest books, the emerging trends of the business world and the happenings in the academic arena are given a purposeful space in the journal. The Literature Today also shares glimpses from the world of fashion and films. To bring established and budding authors closer to their readers, the dedicated section for ‘Author Interview’ takes a complete tour of the authors’ journey. The Literature Today works with the sole mission of making good literature just a click away. With every edition, the journal has widened its domain and hope to do so in the future as well.
In this issue
January arrives with calm reflection and the promise of new beginnings. As we step into the first chapter of the year, we are pleased to present Volume 6, Issue 1 of The Literature Today—an edition rooted in reflection, resilience, and renewal.
This issue features a compelling cover story on Jayanthi Sankar, whose Tabula Rasa, longlisted for the Chommanard Women’s Literary Award, sets the tone for thoughtful and forward-looking conversations. Our Exclusive Conversations highlight the creative journeys of Jayanthi, Shrestha, Bijoy, and Dhaval, alongside original writings by Jayanthi Sankar and Dr. Jayant Kashikar.
We also celebrate Mahasweta Devi’s centenary, explore India’s vibrant literary festivals, reflect on Agatha Christie’s lasting influence, and present Mariyam Yasser’s perspective on feminism. A curated reading list offers books for renewal, while Author Spotlights, reviews, global book news, and poetry showcase diverse voices.
As the year unfolds, we hope this issue inspires meaningful reading and deeper connection with literature.
