Just before we went to press with the July issue, the tragedy at Uttarakhand struck. We, at Culturama, share the pain of the victims, more so because in the last 18 years of Culturama we have written about the scenic beauty of Uttarakhand and the ethereal charm of the Ganga numerous times, including this issue in our \'From the Other Side\' column, that coincidentally speaks about the significance of water. We were able to Stop Press and change our cover and add a page encouraging readers to donate generously, as we have all done, but we do realise that as easy as it was for us to pause briefly the process of production and make changes, it must be just as hard for the victims to step out of this unexpected pause in their lives and begin the long road of rehabilitation. Our prayers are with them.
