In April 2019, APF celebrated its 14th Anniversary tracking Indian auto industry's readiness to meet the new safety and fuel efficiency norms. With India aiming to scale up production of electric vehicles and given China’s dominance in EVs (about 60 per cent of global volumes) and battery technology, imports of EV components from China will to go up in future as India does not have a well established EV parts making ecosystem.
