Tarakan (TROBOSAQUA.COM). Exports of crabs from North Kalimantan (Kaltara) have decreased significantly due to the outbreak of the corona virus (Covid-19) in China and several other countries. On the contrary, seaweed exports from the outer regions of Indonesia actually survive.
This can be seen from the records of the Fish Quarantine Center, Fisheries Product Quality and Safety Control (BKIPM) Tarakan. Noted, in the open season for crab exports until February 5, there was a decline in exports by 20% compared to the previous year.
Head of the Tarakan Supervision, Data and Information Control Section of the TarIP BKIPM, Roy Pahlevi, said that so far China is a major buyer of Tarakan.
