愛協樂見康樂及文化事務署由四月起於各區增設超過60個寵物共享公園，現時全港共有超過100個公園開放予人寵共用。愛協經過逾10年的研究和向政府遊說，終見證香港向成為動物友好城市再邁進一步，讓寵物主人和其他使用者能和諧共享更多公園設施，愛協希望與你分享多年來的研究和遊說成果。

在第五波疫情下，香港獸醫和愛協的前線同事人手持續短缺，領養中心的訪客人數也受限制，減慢了動物和新主人的配對過程。而另一方面，非法動物繁殖及走私活動卻日漸猖狂，有更多動物需要我們的治療。雖然環境變得困難，但我們必會堅守愛護動物的心，治療被遺棄和受虐的小生命，協助牠們找到愛的家。

今年為香港愛護動物協會重要的里程碑。百年來經歷香港社會發展及變遷，市民大眾對動物的觀念亦隨著社會進步而改變。今期《足印》涵蓋了協會的歷史，並與香港的歷年來的發展互相呼應，訴說著協會於一百年來為提升動物福利而付出的努力。
