It’s the double anniversary issue! Truck & Driver launched all the way back in 1984 – smack-bang in the middle of ‘The Golden Age’ of trucking when UK roads were alive with British-built commercial vehicles rubbing shoulders with European makes, manual gearboxes were still the norm and everyone was listening to cassette tapes. To celebrate our birthday, we've had a dive back through the archives and found some real gems in our early editions of the mag.
2024 is also the 60th year that Scania has been operating in the UK. To mark the occasion, we’ve got some great Griffin content for you to dig in to, including CJ Leonard’s prize pair of top-power V8s in both cabover and T-cab flavours, Andidrain’s awesome fleet of highly specialised drainage trucks, an in-depth look at how Scanias have evolved over 60 years in this country, and we’ve also giving away some top prizes in our Scania competition.
