CELEBRATING HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN

It’s finally here! Part 2 of our Platinum Jubilee Special, commemorating all of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations!

The four-day national event proved to be a spectacular success, hugely popular worldwide and united the British nation in these recessionary times when a bit of cheer was much needed and appreciated.

The event from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June marked the historical milestone of Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne, and in this special issue of Royal Life we are proud to bring you all the pomp and splendour of this once-in-a-lifetime event, which included street parties, a parade, a star-studded concert and so much more.

A slight blight on the proceedings was the fact that Her Majesty herself chose not to attend some of the events due to mobility issues, even missing her beloved Epsom Derby on June 4th.

Having said that, the Queen still managed to steal the show with a Paddington Bear sketch that touched the hearts of a nation.

The twinkle in her eyes as she reached into that famous handbag and pulled out a marmalade sandwich was just priceless to behold. And watching her tuck it back inside “for later” was just the perfect ending to a special treat.

The Platinum Jubilee celebrations gave Her Majesty a chance to see how much the world loves and respects her. It truly was a wonderful celebration and we’re delighted to be able to re-live it with you here, in this very special 100-page collector’s edition of Royal Life, covering all of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in full.
