A horror lasting 8 minutes, 46 seconds. 
On May 25 Memorial Day, a national holiday in the US when the nation commemorates its soldiers who died in combat, a cell phone video clip recorded by an onlooker in Minneapolis went viral on the internet. Its gut-churning footage shocked the living daylights out of people around the world as they stared at naked brutality take its ugly form on a hapless person. It showed a handcuffed Black American pinned to the pavement near the intersection of E 38th Street and Chicago Avenue with a white police officer’s knee on his neck.

 Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO chief is caught in an uncertain storm plaguing the world and he has vowed to rein in the pandemonium that has wreaked havoc on the lives of millions. Here is a look at his life story and what makes him stand up against the challenging new pandemic

The short video of her phone call went viral as soon as it was posted on her Twitter page. Watching the video, millions of US citizens and people around the world knew they were witnessing history in the making and the media went gaga. Once the president-elect takes the oath of office, his running mate, Harris, will become the first woman, the first  AfroAmerican, and the first South Asian-American to occupy Number One Observatory Circle, the official residence of the US vice president.
