The Pandemic bringing the World to a screeching halt. COVID-19-a name that puts everyoneon highalert, of late. Since its origin and detection for the first time in Wuhan, China in December 2019, the deadly virus has spread globally affecting thousands of individuals and claimed the lives of several. And the effect it has seems to be spiralling outof control. As a society, we need to grab the reins and get the situation under control.

 Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO chief is caught in an uncertain storm plaguing the world and he has vowed to rein in the pandemonium that has wreaked havoc on the lives of millions. Here is a look at his life story and what makes him stand up against the challenging new pandemic

Kamala Harris dressed in a running outfit and wearing shades, told Democratic candidate Joe Biden over the phone on November 7.

The short video of her phone call went viral as soon as it was posted on her Twitter page. Watching the video, millions of US citizens and people around the world knew they were witnessing history in the making and the media went gaga. Once the president-elect takes the oath of office, his running mate, Harris, will become the first woman, the first  AfroAmerican, and the first South Asian-American to occupy Number One Observatory Circle, the official residence of the US vice president.

On May 25 Memorial Day, a national holiday in the US when the nation commemorates its soldiers who died in combat, a cell phone video clip recorded by an onlooker in Minneapolis went viral on the internet. Among all of these hasty underreactions and overreactions, was German Chancellor Angela Merkel- her background in science allowed her to put forth an extremely calm explanation of the situation, urging caution yet avoiding panic.

is much-talked-about. He has been called entertaining, he has been labelled humorous and his popularity is no secret.
