Welcome to our Winter 2019 issue of Autostrada,
When we started this magazine five years ago everyone would tell us “one day you should get Jay Leno on the cover”. We never thought that day would come, but we always kept it in the back of our minds as we evolved the magazine and met some incredible people.
As our network expanded we had the pleasure of featuring Ferrari Collector David Lee on the cover of our September 2017 issue. David generously put us in touch with one of Jay’s people and after a year of persistence we were standing in the most famous garage in the world.Jay is an absolute class act, the only thing stronger than his passion for vehicles is his knowledge of every car in his collection. This man is an encyclopedia of automotive facts, from engine size to production numbers to the history of the previous owners. He is a car guy to the core. We had the pleasure of spending the morning with Jay touring through the unique line-up of vehicles and it is an experience we will never forget.
After people saw the above photo of us with Jay they would rhyme off a handful of questions about him and his world famous collection, most of those questions are answered in the in depth article written by our long time friend and writer Michael Buccioni who joined us in California. An everlasting thank you to Jay and his team for opening their doors to us and welcoming us like we were one of their own, we will be forever grateful for the opportunity.

Welcome to our Summer 2021 issue of Autostrada,
It has been a slow start to the automotive season here in Ontario, Canada due to stay at home orders during the COVID 19 pandemic. We are excited to host more of our community driven events throughout the summer months including track days, cruises, dinners and several other charity events. Our goal has always been to bring together the great people and companies within our automotive community, hopefully this summer we will be able to do so.
You might recognize our cover feature Samantha Tan from our very first issue of Autostrada in March of 2015. It’s been incredibly inspiring for us to watch her career and talents develop over the last 6 years into a 23 year old race team owner and driver. Samantha is also a devoted advocate of the Stop Asian Hate campaign and raises awareness and funds to help stop anti-Asian hate crimes worldwide. During the last three years behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT4, Samantha has been a front-runner in the GT4 America Series and recently accomplished her first PRO racing wins at the 24 Hours of Dubai and 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi. We are excited to continue watching Samantha and ST Racing reach new heights in the years to come.
We are so encouraged by all the positive momentum our magazine has created since we began this journey almost 6 years ago. Without our loyal readers, partners and contributors none of this would be possible. Thank you all for your constant support and encouragement, we truly appreciate it.

Welcome to our Spring 2021 issue of Autostrada,
It’s an honour to feature Carolyn Jackson, Vice President of Brand Strategy for the world-famous Barrett- Jackson Auction Company, as our, admittedly, long overdue first female cover. Carolyn’s exceptional talent, compassion and incredible vision continues to deliver triumphant results year after year. Carolyn is an avid race fan, car enthusiast and works diligently with the American Heart Association. If you’re lucky enough you might just catch a glimpse of her cruising in her 1969 Yenko Camaro throughout Scottsdale.
The name Barrett-Jackson is synonymous with the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction which for fifty years has set the bar for the collector car industry. Thousands of enthusiasts raise their paddles to purchase some of the most sought-after muscle and super cars from around the globe as they cross the block. The auction will take place in Scottsdale Arizona on March 20th to 27th. Working closely with the city of Scottsdale and Westworld officials for months to ensure adherence to local, state and federal guidelines, Barrett-Jackson is confident that customers will feel safe while attending the auction and be able to enjoy their every aspect of their experience.
As we continue coping with the pandemic and complying with the various restrictions, we hope everyone is staying positive and healthy during these challenging times. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just remember with winter coming to an end shortly we all have our sights set on an early spring in hopes of getting the cars out once the salt is all washed away.

Welcome to our Winter 2020 issue of Autostrada,
Here in Toronto the first snowflakes have begun to fall and the majority of owners have tucked in their vehicles for the long winter months. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, but we have been incredibly fortunate to have the support of our long time advertisers and readers during this time.
Our cover feature for this issue is the legendary automotive designer Gordon Murray. Gordon was the brainchild behind the legendary McLaren F1, touted as the best supercar ever built, and with the recent release of his own supercar, the T.50, has returned to the global automotive spotlight. 
Thanks to our friends Tim Mackenzie and Alex Lawrence were given unprecedented access to Gordon’s personal collection of vehicles as well as his personal design studio. Where most designers have transitioned to a completely digital format, Gordon has kept with his roots and prefers to work seated in front of his drafting table. We are incredibly grateful to Gordon and his team for allowing us to showcase his passion, history and journey in this issue.
As the year comes to a close we were fortunate to host our 4th annual Autostrada Christmas Toy Drive. To comply with the pandemic restrictions we shifted the event to a “drive through” format where guests would drop off their toys without ever leaving their vehicle. We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who took the time to donate to those in need during the holiday season, we are so fortunate to be part of such a supportive community.

Welcome to our Fall 2020 issue of Autostrada,
We hope this issue finds you and your family safe and healthy during these challenging times. We’ve been fortunate to host a few socially distant Autostrada events during this pandemic and have the opportunity to bring the automotive community together from a distance.  
As publishers, we are continuously on the lookout for unique cover stories that convey the passion, history and journey that we all share. There is definitely no debate in this case with Emilio Rivera who is perhaps best known for his portrayal of El Padrino on the FX original series, Sons of Anarchy and its spin-off show, Mayans M.C. 
Emilio is a true car enthusiast, who shares with us his love affair with his 1948 Chevy Fleetline, which he first spotted cruising through his neighbourhood as a young man. From his humble beginnings in his Frogtown neighbourhood in LA, Emilio has never forgotten his roots. He is a straight up guy who we are proud to call a friend and have enjoyed his telephone calls providing us updates on the progress of his restoration and his new Panhead bike build. We will definitely take him up on his offer of dinner, cigars and a ride on the Harleys through the canyons next time we are in the Los Angeles area. 
We are extremely thankful to our good friend Estevan Oriol for the introduction and his commitment to making this issue a success with his artistic photographs that accompany the article.. We were fortunate to feature Estevan a few issues back and you can catch his documentary “ LA Originals “ on Netflix.

Welcome to our Spring 2020 issue of Autostrada,
This is the time of the year where days start to get longer, tempertures slowly rise and “car season” starts to appear on the horizon. 
Over the winter months we had the opportunity to connect with several of our friends and readers at our second annual Autostrada Christmas Toy Drive. Over $5,000 and two truckloads of toys were raised to benefit families through the Starlight Children’s Foundation.  We are so fortunate to have the support of so many generous people in our automotive community.
Our cover feature for this issue is motorsport legend Alex Zanardi. We have followed Alex’s inspirational journey and were thrilled to have the opportunity to share his passion in our magazine. After an accident in Germany took both his legs in 2001, Alex returned to racing full time in 2004 with the help of hand controls. Alex also channelled his spirit into the sport of hand cycling and won a gold medal in the Paralympic Games in London in 2012, he is a true champion in every way. 
As this issue of the magazine hits to press we are gearing up for the 2020 Canadian International Auto Show. We are fortunate to have 14 iconic vehicles in our booth this year including the Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Miura, Porsche 959, Shelby Cobra and several others. An overwhelming thank you to the owners for trusting us to showcase these special pieces of automotive history.
We are looking forward to connecting with our readers at the unique Autostrada events we have planned for the Spring. Thank you all so much for your continued support and encouragement!

Welcome to our Fall 2019 issue of Autostrada,
Looking back on the last few months we have seen several of our readers and partners at many of the automotive events in our community including our second Autostrada Charity Garage Tour. Two local collectors generously opened their garages to share their passion and vehicles in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation.
We encourage our friends to join us at Drive 4 Smiles on September 8th at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. This event gives seriously ill children the opportunity to go for rides around the track in their dream cars. It is an incredibly special event and we are proud to be involved with several of our friends and partners.
Our cover feature for this issue is world-renowned automotive designer and hypercar builder Horacio Pagani. We had the opportunity to meet Horacio and witness his passion and impeccable attention to detail first hand at the Pagani factory in Modena.  Being able to share his life story and publish photos from his childhood and early career is an opportunity we are so grateful for. As automotive enthusiasts ourselves it has been amazing to watch his rise to an automotive icon.
As the weather slowly turns over the next few months we are looking forward to meeting more of the passionate owners, drivers and collectors in our community. Welcome to our Summer 2019 issue of Autostrada.
We had the opportunity to catch up with so many of our long time friends and readers at this year’s 2019 Canadian International Auto Show. Our booth was home to a spectacular line up of supercars 
that were generously loaned to us by friends of the magazine – Maserati MC12, Mercedes SLR McLaren, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari F50, Porsche Carrera GT, Lexus LFA and Jaguar XJ220. Thank you again for trusting us with your special vehicles, we truly appreciate it.
Mario Andretti. We never thought when we started on our journey five years ago that we would be fortunate enough to spend time with such an automotive icon and have him on the cover of our magazine.
We were introduced to Mario at this year’s Auto Show, his keynote speech at dinner was a trip down memory lane with vivid descriptions of races and championships from his decorated career. Fast-forward to April 2nd and we were standing in the trophy room at Mario’s home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, after a road trip down from Toronto with our writer Michael Buccioni.
Walking through rooms full of memorabilia from trophies to vintage photos with Mario describing the story behind these special items was an experience that we will never forget. An overwhelming thank you to Mario and his team for taking the time to share your passion, history and journey with us.
As car covers are lifted and engines roar back to life we are looking forward to seeing our friends and readers at several of the unique Autostrada events we have planned for the season. Stay tuned to our social media outlets for more information.

Welcome to our Spring 2019 issue of Autostrada.
One of the things we are most proud of is the incredibly supportive and positive community we are fortunate to be a part of. There is no better example of this than our first annual Toy Drive we hosted just before Christmas. With only a few weeks notice over 500 people showed up with loads of toys to benefit local children and families in need. We were so humbled by the amazing show of support from all our friends; we truly appreciate everyone taking the time to donate to a worthy cause. 
Our cover feature for this issue is Rob Dickinson, the visionary behind Singer Vehicle Design. We had our first experience with Singer several years ago when a long time friend purchased one of the first 
vehicles in Canada. The attention to detail is absolutely spectacular, Rob’s motto “Everything is important” could not be more accurate. We’re looking forward to the new Dynamics and Lightweighting Study vehicles landing here in Canada over the next few years. A big thank you to Rob and the Singer team for all their help making this feature possible.
The first generation of our Autostrada clothing line will be available to the public for the first time at the 2019 Canadian International Auto Show. We’ve been working hard to create unique designs that reflect the passion, history and journey of our magazine.

Welcome to our Winter 2018 issue of Autostrada!
2015 was the year we started Autostrada and set our sights on featuring some the best automotive cover stories in the industry. During that time I would periodically announce to Lucas that one day we would feature my idol, Jesse James. Fast forward a few years later as I had the opportunity to speak with Jesse to discuss our publication and while delivering my humble introduction to have him grace the pages of our magazine he replied, “Yah man let’s do it!” 
A trip down to his shop located in Dripping Springs, Texas in early October we had the privilege of touring his facility and witnessed the ‘Pope of Welding’ and his crew work their talents on various custom builds, as we conducted our interview with Jesse in his private shop, he was fitting up one of his sought after 1911 .45 caliber pistols for a client and yes he builds more then just custom cars, culinary knives and the coolest motorcycles on the planet. With all his skill, talent and passion Jesse best describes himself as a glorified welder and a true advocate of hard work and perseverance. We are very proud to share this unique feature of one of the most passionate builders you will ever meet. 
As old man winter is upon us, stay warm, positive and focused as spring is only 90 days away.

Welcome to our Fall 2018 issue of Autostrada!
Our cover feature for this issue is renowned supercar builder Christian Von Koenigsegg. Humble, brilliant, visionary, these are the three words we would use to describe Christian. 
We had the opportunity to sit down with Christian over lunch in Downtown Toronto to get to know the man behind the exotic machines that carry his name. He is incredibly personable and is eager to share his passion with everyone he meets, his long list of accomplishments now includes building the fastest production car in the world. On November 4, 2017, the Agera RS, at the hands of factory driver Niklas Lilja, managed a high speed of 457.94 km/hr on a closed off public road in Nevada.
You might have noticed our new logo and cover design for this issue; this marks an evolution of Autostrada after almost 4 years in print. Our new direction will strengthen our community surrounding the magazine and reflect our dedication and commitment to capturing the passion, history & journey of all the incredible people we continue to meet through our publication.
Keep an eye out for our upcoming Autostrada lifestyle product line that will be launched at the 2018 Canadian International Auto Show in February, we are excited to be able to share our brand with everyone who has supported us since we began this journey.

Welcome to our Summer 2018 issue of Autostrada!
This is the time of the year that we’ve all been waiting for. Our friends and readers have awoken their beautiful machines from their winter hibernation and set them loose on streets and racetracks all over the world. The Canadian winters make our driving season that much more exciting as we try pack in as many automotive experiences as possible before the seasons change.
Our cover feature for this issue is the legendary Urban Outlaw Magnus Walker. We had the opportunity to chat with Magnus during his spontaneous “Outlaw Gathering” at Porsche Centre Oakville last year. Over 750 people came from all over Ontario and even the United States to have the opportunity to meet their hero. We didn’t leave the dealership until 12:30am that night, and certainly not before the last person in line got their personal autograph and photo with Magnus. This speaks to his character as a truly special ambassador for the automotive community.
As the summer goes on we are looking forward to catching up with our loyal readers and friends at several of the local automotive events around the Toronto area. We recently hosted a successful event with our friends at Acura Canada to give our network the exclusive opportunity to test drive the Acura NSX. Welcome to the September 2017 issue of Autostrada! This issue marks our transition into the latter half of car season, soon the kids will be back to school and only a few more months of driving weather will remain. 

After such a great turnout last year we are excited to be hosting another Autostrada Charity Garage Tour this month. Our network of long time friends and automotive enthusiasts are incredibly supportive when it comes to giving back to the community through our collective passion. David’s affinity for Ferrari is evident as soon as he opens the door to his garage; some of the most important cars to ever leave Maranello are now being piloted by this passionate collector. The thing we admire most about David is his approachability and willingness to share his collection with the community. On any given weekend you will see him out at local events with one or more of his prized machines.

When our March issue is released we know we’re in the home stretch before “car season” begins. Soon many of our friends will be disconnecting their battery tenders to wake up their pride and joy from the long winter hibernation.

Although the winter drives many of us to warmer destinations, we are excited to have a large presence at the Canadian International Auto Show this year. Our “Autostrada Canadian Collectors” booth will host five unique cars from friends’ local collections that have generously allowed us to have them on display.

The name Robert Wickens may not be a household name in Canada, but head over to Europe and Rob is one of the most popular drivers on the grid at the DTM or “Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters” races. Coming from humble beginnings in Guelph, Ontario Robert chose go-kart racing over hockey and never looked back.

As the seasons change, stay tuned to our social media channels to receive updates on our upcoming events and activities. We are fortunate to be working with an incredible team of partners in the magazine and we look forward to crossing paths with everyone during the year!

Eight issues, 892 pages, 136,000 copies and countless memories later we’re celebrating the two year anniversary of Autostrada Forum Magazine. When we started this journey at Sean’s kitchen table we could have never anticipated where it would take us. We’ve been privileged to meet so many incredible automotive enthusiasts from across Canada who have opened up their collections and shared their passion and memories with our readers.

Our cover feature for this issue is the extremely humble and successful Rob Myers, the man behind RM Sotheby’s. We had the rare opportunity to tour the RM facility in Chatham, Ontario during our cover shoot and were blown away with the caliber of cars on hand as well as the craftsmanship and dedication of the entire team. It’s incredible to see such a world-class company with its roots in rural Ontario. A big thank you to Rob and his staff for their hospitality and assistance in sharing their unique story.

Looking into 2017 we are excited to have many Autostrada events under development. Gathering our network of close friends and automotive enthusiasts gives us the opportunity to raise funds 
and awareness for several local charities all while sharing our passion for cars.

Our cover feature for this issue is Toronto native Nicholas Latifi who is taking the racing world by storm. We were lucky to be able to catch up with Nicholas during his short time back in Toronto between races in Europe. We wish him the very best for the rest of the race season and in his future racing endeavors, we have no doubt that the best is yet to come.

We were proud to have a booth at this year’s Italian Car Day in Woodbridge, Ontario. Our long time friends and brothers Robert and Paul Calisi were generous enough to offer us their spectacularly restored Ferrari Dino for our display. In addition to the constant crowds, the Dino ended up winning a well-deserved best in show award.

As we move forward into the fall months we are looking forward to crossing paths with more of our faithful readers at the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Owen Sound on September 17th. Make sure to pass by our booth and say Hello.

Go big! This is the motto of our long time friend and well-known car collector Jim Williams. Having known Jim for several years we were fortunate enough to have him share his business and automotive journey with our readers. His dedication to charity work and passion for giving back to the community inspires all of us to do the same.

We recently hosted our first “Autostrada Charity Garage Tour” to raise money and awareness for the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre in Hamilton. The day kicked off at Paddock Motor Club before visiting the personal garages of Rene Monaro and Angelo Paletta who generously opened up their doors to welcome over 150 eager car enthusiasts. The event raised $18,700 for the foundation, a big thank you again to everyone who attended and showed their support.

As we move forward into the heart of “car season” we are excited to be part of the upcoming Yorkville Exotic Car Show as well as Italian Car Day in Woodbridge. It is always great to meet our readers and be able to give back to our community through our automotive passion.

March 2016. This marks the one-year anniversary of Autostrada Forum Magazine. Rewind to this time in 2015 and we were anxiously watching the first ever copies of our new publication roll off the press. We feel that over the last year we have refined and developed the content and direction of the magazine into what you see today.

Our cover story for this issue is long time friend Rene Monaro, a passionate collector, driver and all around great guy. We’ve been fortunate enough to know Rene for over 10 years and witness first hand his incredible passion for anything automotive.

Moving forward for 2016 we have several exciting and unique events planned with our great marketing partners whose advertisements appear in the magazine. As this is being written we are busy preparing for our first ever appearance at the Canadian International Auto Show in partnership with Garage Living. We are excited to have a presence at such a respected event, especially with our “company car” a Ferrari 458 Speciale courtesy of Rene.

We’re looking forward to crossing paths with several of our subscribers, partners and friends as the event season begins this spring. It is great to be part of such a thriving automotive community in our own back yard, a big thank you again to everyone for all their support and encouragement.

This time last year we were busy making appointments and building our relationships with advertisers who took the time to listen and believe in our long-term values for Autostrada. Throughout the last year we have been so fortunate to share in our friends automotive passions and listen to their stories from the foundation of their automotive world. It has been amazing how many people have opened their doors and let our readers briefly peer behind the curtain of their lives.
 
Without our core team of talented and dedicated contributors Autostrada wouldn’t be where it is today. From our graphic designers to writers and photographers, they have all played an instrumental role in the quality of content and design that is displayed throughout the magazine.  
 
Legendary Canadian personalities have already appeared on the first year of covers including names like Hinchcliffe, Fellows, Herjavec and now Peter Klutt of Legendary Motorcar. As the readership and following of the magazine increase it is even more important for us to stick to our core values, documenting the passion, history, and journey of the incredibly passionate men and women who make up our local automotive community.

On June 13th over 600 of our closest friends and family joined us as the Paddock Motor Club to celebrate the launch of Autostrada Forum. As the band played and the LaFerrari rotated on the turntable we were overwhelmed with the feedback on not just our first two issues, but the vision and concept of the magazine itself. It has been an incredible journey so far and we wouldn’t be here without the support and encouragement from our readers and advertisers.
 
As you might have noticed we have added another twenty pages to this issue of Autostrada Forum, bringing the total to 120 pages, a long way from the 72 in our inaugural issue. Just when we think we’ve seen it all there is something new that we uncover in our own back yard, Canada is truly alive with automotive passion.
 
Mosport, this name resonates with race fans and drivers from around the world. We are lucky to have this world-class track so close to us here in Southern Ontario, and we welcome legendary driver and track partner Ron Fellows as well as track President & GM Myles Brandt to the cover of our September Issue.
 
As the driving season begins to wind down we are working on some exciting Autostrada events for 2016, make sure to keep an eye out in future issues for further developments.  See you in December,  Lucas & Sean

FROM THE PUBLISHERS

Italy, Jamaica, Florida, Germany, California. These are a few of the many places around the world that the premier issue of Autostrada Forum has visited since our launch in March. The response and support of our readers has been absolutely overwhelming, a big thank you to everyone for all their feedback and encouragement on our new magazine. When we started this journey we had a book of blank pages, the way the community has rallied behind the finished product has been humbling and inspiring.
Our first cover feature Robert Herjavec had a successful eight-week stint on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” and local up and coming driver Samantha Tan has had a great start to her racing season. Be sure to keep and eye out in future issues for follow up features on some of our previous stories. 
You may have noticed our June issue has grown by an extra thirty pages, a direct result of companies aligning themselves with our vision and becoming part of the Autostrada team. We have also boosted the content in this issue to document even more of the passionate individuals in our community who are willing to share their stories. From Viper to Camaro, Ferraris to Shock Rods, this issue represents a more accurate representation of our direction for Autostrada Forum. 
James Hinchcliffe’s reputation as a down to earth charismatic IndyCar driver precedes him. When we sat down together a few months ago it was great to meet such a passionate Canadian taking on the world stage. With a win at the Louisiana Grand Prix in March, James has had a promising start to the year, we look forward to following his season and having him as the cover feature for the June issue.
As summer arrives we look forward to seeing our friends at several of the automotive events held throughout the season. We encourage everyone to reach out with your feedback and ideas; this is a magazine for enthusiasts by enthusiasts, we truly value your input.
