This short documentary is about a traditional
Japanese long-distance relay race called Ekiden.
In 2021, one particular team held an Ekiden race in
New York City to display the city’s diversity and

how different people can unite by running togeth-
er to achieve a common goal. And although a

race, the event never involves any competition,
and so this film focuses on what makes the Ekiden
so incredibly unique – it’s history and how today it
spreads a message of positivity and unity.
