Nab all your summer groceries for less!

Zoom in on circulars to save

Supermarkets know that shoppers are fed up with rising prices, so they’re offering more discounts this summer, focusing especially in perimeter departments like dairy, deli foods and meat. For example, ALDI has reduced their prices on more than 250 products (including cheese, chicken tenders, salami and trail mix) throughout the summer. And Giant Eagle is currently running its “Price Lock” promotion, where prices on 800 popular grocery products (including dairy, meat, produce and seafood) have been cut by an average of nearly 20% through August 9. To find these summer sales, check your store’s circular, app or website—and while there, look for manufacturer digital coupons. A new survey shows that 45% of major brands are issuing coupons as a way to compete with lower-priced store brands.

The Mary Tyler Moore SHOW

From That Girl in the 1960s to Ally McBeal in the 1990s to Sex and the City in the 2000s, television has long reflected the shifting image of independent women. Yet the true game-changer came in 1970, when The Mary Tyler Moore Show introduced Mary Richards—30, single, stylish and making her way in a newsroom full of men. Rather than being someone’s wife or daughter, she was the star, and she changed television forever. Join us for a look back at rare behind-the-scenes photos of the groundbreaking show as we celebrate its 55th anniversary.

Happy money, happy holidays

The holidays are here (yay!), and with them comes both joy and, let's be honest, stress. For many of us, the shopping lists, entertaining costs or the ache of an empty chair at the table can dim the sparkle of the season. If that's you, please accept my wishes that the days land lightly.
