Work set to restart at new rail station
Yorkshire Evening Post
|January 14, 2026
It's been stuck in deadlock since spring last year - but now work on the part-finished White Rose rail station in south Leeds will start again.
Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin said issues with the project had now been resolved thanks to ongoing efforts between the rail industry and West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Work on the site stopped in spring 2024 but, subject to the approval of the combined authority next week, will restart shortly.
Situated on the Leeds to Huddersfield line, the new station is being built next to the White Rose Business Park, a short walk from the White Rose Shopping Centre.
