A thug who made sickening threats to his former partner has been locked up.
Nicholas Wilkinson was told by a judge at Leeds Crown Court that he was ‘‘clearly racked with insecurity and jealousy’’.
The 26-year-old was previously jailed for strangling the woman, but after his release moved back in with her, only to revert to his old ways.
Wilkinson had been in an ‘‘on/off’’ relationship with the victim for around four years. He was released from his 21-month sentence for strangling her in November last year and was meant to be living with his mother, but moved back in with the woman.
