Perfect record for ladies to secure Salimeg success

THE ladies played their annual competition for the Salimeg Trophy this week.

A dozen ladies, playing in four teams of three-wood triples, contested three round-robin games over six ends with a break for lunch in between.
After play had finished, whilst enjoying team and biscuits, ladies captain Rachael announced that the winners were Pam Green, Shirley Baxter & Linda Sykes who won all three of their matches. Carole Jenner-Timms, Carolle Skeates & Heather Willerton were the runners-up.
The men's latest game in the MSL was at Street. Wells managed to win on one rink but lost on the other two to lose 60-47 overall.
Rink scores: G Howell, P Allen, D Higgins, A Wickham 12 shots (Street 23); J Rossiter, R Fisher, C Higgins, A Denning 19 shots (Street 17); M Strudwick, T Williamson, S Parke, A Whitehead 16 shots (Street 20).
In the latest rounds of national and county competitions, Cilla Gadd & Angie Churches hosted a team from Williton in round four of the Ladies County Pairs but suffered a 25-11 defeat. Skeates & Willerton were also at home against Minehead but also lost, 16-10.
