Accident pupils severely burned

THREE pupils from Millfield School have been left with severe burns and require surgery after being electrocuted by overhead cables.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, prompted a swift response from emergency services, including an air ambulance, a specialist hazard team, fire crews, and police officers, who attended the scene.

A school spokesperson confirmed three students were taken to hospital, where they are in a stable condition with their families.

A referral has been made to the Health and Safety Executive, the Mirror reports.
