Little doubt Europe is preparing for wider war

THERE can be little doubt that the war in Ukraine is about more than just Ukraine.
-
Here, super powers are in play, ceasefire talks held symbolically in different key locations, signifying the playlist of rival interests and antagonisms, all seeking power and control of peoples, markets and natural resources.
There can be little doubt that Europe is preparing for wider war, and in many cases encouraging it. Germany's rearmament programme is accelerating at helter-skelter speed, as is the UK’s, with, in total, seven million square meters of new industrial development at arms’ sites across Europe - munitions factories and military bases.
The United States has given $billions to Ukraine in military aid, including donating the long-range missiles that can strike deep into Russian territory. Starmer’s UK government is following suit, showing absolute support for Ukraine’s military fight. The general statement is that Russia is a threat to the entirety of Europe unless defeated.
