Man bullied and fleeced his own grandparents

THUG THREATENED THEM TO EXTRACT CASH
A VILE grandson intimidated and fleeced his elderly grandparents and left them with no money to put food on the table or heat their home.
Ashley Partington was abusive, aggressive and threatened his devoted grandparents with knives and hammers to extract money from them behaviour witnessed by neighbours.
He took around £5,000 from their state pensions and small private pension and left the desperate couple going to foodbanks to get something to eat.
Judge Robert Linford jailed Partington for 30 months after he admitted two counts of controlling and coercive behaviour and driving while banned.
The judge said Partington embarked on 'astonishingly appalling conduct' for around three years after they took him in and he repaid that by 'frightening and attacking them, taking their money and selling their things'.
