Justice programs, etc. get backing

Representatives from judiciary and other legal institutions expressed a shared commitment to justice, sustainability, and inclusive public service following a series of courtesy visits to Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival this month.

Some Justices from the Court of Appeals in Cebu led by Executive Justice Pamela Maxino, paid a courtesy visit last July 24 to express support for the mayor's environmental initiatives.

Among the programs discussed were efforts to reduce single-use plastics, promote renewable energy, and implement a city ordinance mandating solar energy systems in government buildings.

The justices committed to using reusable tumblers and participating in a tree-planting campaign targeting 1,000 new trees according to the City's Public Information Office.

Earlier this month, Executive Judge Anacleto Debalucos and other officials from the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in the 7th Judicial Region also visited Mayor Archival with discussions centered on enhancing the Operation Second Chance program and promoting sustainable disposal of electronic waste.
