Works at side of road aim to stop dogging hotspot

WORK to deter dogging at a Northumberland hotspot is expected to start in the coming days. Northumberland County Council is preparing to carry out roadwork improvements at Arcot Lane, Cramlington.
The works come after concerns were raised about people engaging in group sex acts in broad daylight. The concerns came to light after plans to build a new crematorium in the area were approved.
Expected to start today, plans include carriageway resurfacing, edge repairs and verge works. It is understood restrictions will be put in place, including posts and ditches, to prevent further loitering in vehicles.
