Chris Brown, 37, from South Shields, died in a crash in Wallsend while riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle just before 4.30pm on Monday, April 7.

His motorbike and a brown Mercedes Sprinter van were in collision on Stephenson Street, near the Hadrian Road junction with Potter Street.

Mr Brown was found to have sustained serious injuries and, despite being taken to hospital for treatment, he died three days.

Northumbria Police are appealing for footage and information about the incident which could assist with the investigation.

Mr Brown's wife Stacey has paid a loving tribute to her husband, who also leaves behind two daughters, Harlo-Rose, 12, and Haylan, seven.
