NEWCASTLE

- By LEE RYDER

United boss Eddie Howe has ordered his players to “stand up and be counted” as the Magpies look to cure their travel sickness at Burnley.Howe has guided his team to just one win away from St James’ Park this season, and such poor form on the road has dented hopes of European qualification via the Premier League.

It is a far cry from last term when Newcastle won eight times away from home and banked 28 points on the way to a top-five finish.

This season the black and whites have only beaten Everton 4-1 away and have yielded just six points on the road. But Howe has welcomed the trip to Turf Moor tonight and sees it as a chance to improve their worrying record.
