India emerges as fastest-growing large economy today: EAM Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar, presently on a four-day official trip to the UK, marked the Diwali festivities by offering prayers at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, also known as the Neasden Temple, in London. This cultural celebration highlighted the significance of bilateral relations and the role of cultural connections in advancing shared political and economic interests.

The Neasden Temple, Europe’s first authentic and traditionally built Hindu temple, served as a serene backdrop for the EAM’s Diwali celebrations. Following the temple visit, Jaishankar shared his thoughts with the media, emphasizing India’s position as the fastest-growing large economy in the contemporary global landscape.

“India is today the fastest-growing large economy. There is leadership. There is a vision. There is good governance,” Jaishankar stated, underlining the country’s economic achievements. He attributed the positive image of India not only to the efforts within the nation but also to the actions of the Indian diaspora worldwide.
