Pre-Brexit polls a decade old
Sunderland Echo
|January 05, 2026

-

Re the term 'Remainers', we left the EU in January 2020 - so that label is obsolete. Today, we're 'Rejoiners'.
Opinion polls from 2016 were shaped by claims and promises from Leave that have since proven false. Today's polls reflect full knowledge of Brexit's consequences -and whether people now think it was a mistake worth reversing.
