Plans submitted for greener future at school

Plans to install nearly 200 solar panels at Christ's College, off Pennywell Road, Sunderland, have been submitted to city development chiefs.

The school, which was formerly Grindon Hall Christian School, provides education for children aged four to 16 and was recently incorporated with the Emmanuel Schools Foundation.
Applicant Emmanuel Schools Foundation has now applied for permission for the "installation of roof-mounted solar PV panels".
