THE Newcastle Eagles fly to East Kilbride and the Playsport Arena this afternoon to take on the Caledonia Gladiators in a crucial WSLB Championship game.
-
Head coach Chloe Gaynor’s side will take to the court top of the standings and defending a 100% five-win league record.
They know it’s a tough task to win in Scotland against a Gladiators side that have qualified for the WSLB Trophy semifinals and have a four wins one loss league record.
Last weekend Newcastle won a tough game on the road 75-66 in Leicester and one of the stars for Gaynor’s side was USA rookie guard Alyssa Marin. She is having a great start to her professional career averaging 18.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 45.2% from three-point range.
