Trump urges US to ‘hang tough’

DONALD Trump urged the American people and businesses to “hang tough”, warning it will not be easy but defiantly said “we will win” as a world trade war and recession loomed.
In his first words since 10% tariffs on all imports from the UK and 10 other countries came into force yesterday, he said in a post on Truth Social: “This is an economic revolution, and we will win.
“Hang tough. It won’t be easy, but the end result will be historic. We will, Make America Great Again!!!
China and the European Union will face steeper tariffs that will kick in on Wednesday, while a 25% tariff on all car imports started on Thursday.
He added: “China has been hit much harder than the USA, not even close. They, and many other nations, have treated us unsustainably badly.
