A bird's Eye view for some as the Wolf Moon rises over London

THESE London Eye passengers were in the perfect spot for photos as the Wolf Moon loomed over the capital in clear conditions - a heated pod on the 443ft observation wheel.

Skygazers enjoyed the first full moon of the year, known as a supermoon, as most of the country was blessed with good visibility although the weather was very cold.The term Wolf Moon was reportedly coined by Native Americans and medieval Europeans, inspired by the howling of wolves hungry for scarce food in the harsh midwinter.
