Public wants mandatory bone test after a break

ALMOST two-thirds of over-50s "want and expect" to be tested for osteoporosis if they break a bone, a poll has found.
And more than half said that ageing well and "staying healthy fit and active" from the age of 65 is their top concern, above money and friends and family.
The poll of 2,087 adults by YouGov for the Royal Osteoporosis Society comes amid warnings from campaigners that most people in England are not routinely checked for osteoporosis after the age of 50.
The Sunday Express's Better Bones campaign, in partnership with the ROS, has been calling on the Government to guarantee 100% access to Fracture Liaison Services and invest in essential diagnostic tools such as DEXA scanners, which calculate bone density. Shockingly, just 51% of NHS trusts in England currently offer FLS.
