Empire Indian Restaurant was named Cardiff's restaurant of the year at the National Curry Awards.

The latest accolade, which was presented at the House of Lords on Monday, comes after it was recognised at the Asian restaurant and takeaway awards.

The restaurant opened on Albany Road in Roath in 1992, where it remains to this day. It is one of the longest-running restaurants in the capital.

Following the win, the restaurant's owners said: “We're absolutely honoured to share some incredible news - we've been named Restaurant of the Year for Cardiff at the National Curry Awards 2025.
