SWANSEA Bay won the Welsh Junior Inter-Club Championship for the first time with 15-year-old Eve Clunis-Wheway leading the way with the best score of the day.
The PING Welsh Junior Tour U18 Girls inaugural champion this season scored 42 points as Swansea Bay edged out Llantrisant and Pontyclun, and defending champions Wrexham, by just one point in the national final for junior club teams.
The eight clubs qualified for the finals by winning their respective county titles with five of the six players scores counting, though Llantrisant and Pontyclun were runners-up ahead of Wrexham thanks to the score of their sixth player.
