It has become public knowledge that Orlando Pirates defender and captain, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, is on the verge of making a life-changing move to America's Major League Soccer, if the weekend reports are anything to go by, with the move said to be worth in the region of R50 million.

That’s a massive and worthy business deal for all parties concerned and a clear indication that the Americans mean business and know the player's worth, while respecting the club’s valuation of the player. Often, overseas teams come with an attitude that local teams, especially Africans, need them more to introduce their players to top European leagues. They come with ridiculous offers, undermining the very same team that has invested so much in a player because of their superiority complex.
