We supported each other and the good thing was that myself and most of the guys in the team grew up together. In fact, most of us from the U12 team moved up the stages together until we were promoted to the first team. I had great teammates there and the Kaizer Chiefs winger Asanele Velebayi was one of my closest friends because we stayed together. I was one of the first guys to arrive at the Ajax School - the LAMDA Institute - and he joined us the following year. So, I was sort of his senior because we welcomed them to the school.
