'Put pressure on Trump for better deal on tariffs'

BRITAIN must "maximise pressure" on Donald Trump this week for a better trade deal to support the nation's struggling steel sector, a cross-party group of MPs has urged.

Despite an "economic prosperity deal" in May to spare the UK the full brunt of US tariffs, the Business and Trade committee warns exporters now trade "on terms worse than before" the president came to office. It wants the US to be pushed to agree the "final terms" of a deal which will end uncertainty, secure supply lines and drive investment.
