TOTTENHAM returned from the Arctic Circle to give Leeds United the cold shoulder at Elland Road.

- BY JEREMY CROSS

In the process, they became the first side to beat Daniel Farke's men on home soil in more than a year.

Deflected goals from Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus were enough to secure Spurs' first win in three games.

The victory went some way towards making amends for failing to beat Wolves, and then European minnows Bodo/ Glimt in the Champions League last week.

Noah Okafor had struck his second goal of the season to cancel out Tel's 23rd-minute opener.

But Kudus pounced before the hour mark with his first Spurs goal, to sink Leeds.

Boss Thomas Frank praised the bottle of his team for showing character amid some late 'carnage'.

He said: "To get three points, was big. We knew the task ahead of us.
