Braveheart still inspiring people to visit Wallace Monument

MORE than 130,000 people visited the National Wallace Monument in Stirling last year - as the world-famous landmark continued to benefit from hit movie Braveheart 30 years after it was released.
The 220ft Victorian Gothic tower was opened on September 11, 1869, as a tribute to 13th century freedom fighter Sir William Wallace.
The monument overlooks the site of Wallace’s most famous victory, the Battle of Stirling Bridge, on September 11, 1297.
