HEARTS boss Neil Critchley says schoolkid striker James Wilson suffered a harsh lesson after being sent off for the first time.
The 18-year-old received his marching orders, above, during the defeat to Dundee United after throwing himself into a reckless challenge on Luca Stephenson.
Critchley felt Wilson had been hard done by on first viewing but, having watched it back, conceded referee Nick Walsh was right.
It proved to be a costly mistake for his side after a positive start as Sam Dalby's 14th goal of the season gave United victory to leave Hearts sweating on their top-six place ahead of Saturday's final pre-split fixture at Motherwell.
