SEAN EVERITT insists Edinburgh can still force their way into the URC playoffs - even though they are way outside the top eight at the moment.

The capital club are at home to Scarlets tonight in a must-win match. They are 13th in the 16-team table - seven points adrift of the top eight with just eight games to play.

But they were well off the pace last season before a late run of form got them into the playoffs. And head coach Everitt reckons they can do the same this time round - as long as they battle all the way.

He said: "We are confident, because our destiny is in our hands. Every point that you can muster between now and the end of the season is of utmost importance.
