Monday night saw the eight teams left in this year’s Paisley & District Darts doubles competition descend on Pockets Snooker Club for the tournament finale.

Players Pocket win in doubles competition

The first quarter-final was between the mixed team of Kenny McCormack from The Midton and George Millar of Tartan Thunder. They took on John McCallum and Brian Maley from Pockets A.

McCallum and Maley raced into atwo-leglead before McCormack and Millar responded by winning leg three. However, McCallum and Maley took the next two legs to ensure a 4-1 win.

Game two featured another Pockets A team as Josh Leitch and Chris Coyle played Paddy McShane and Dean Fitch from Hagg Bar A, who took the first leg in 16 darts.

Thereafter, the Pockets team rattled off the next three legs to clinch a 4-1 victory with Leitch hitting a maximum 180.

Match three featured the father-and-son duo of Henry Kerr snr and jnr from The Midton who faced Thomas Park and Martin Quinn from Pockets B.

Park and Quinn produced a 15-dart finish in leg one and they never looked back in a 4-0 success.
