MARION MCMULLEN looks at the launch of music drama Rock Follies 50 years ago
THE Little Ladies were rocking the pop world long before the days of the Spice Girls and Girls Aloud.
Julie Covington, Rula Lenska and Charlotte Cornwell played struggling performers Devonia “Dee” Rhodes, Nancy “Q” Cunard de Longchamps and Anna Wynd in Rock Follies.
The music drama launched on ITV 50 years ago on February 24, 1976, and followed the fortunes of the three women as they tried to make it in the music business.
