In a fast-paced world where busy schedules and constant pressures prevail, self-care frequently takes a back seat.
Watsons Philippines executives Sharon Decapia (left), SAVP for Marketing, PR, and Sustainability, and Joweih Liao (right), Health Business Unit, Finance, and Property Development Director, honored Noli Espanola for sharing his passion and artistry at the event. Heart Warriors Philippines Inc. presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Watsons for its meaningful initiative in promoting heart health and creating safe spaces for learning and expression. Art, as a means of self-expression, becomes a powerful medium for healing, enabling individuals to convey emotions, find inner peace, and reconnect with their true selves. Data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) showed that approximately 13 Filipinos lose their lives to heart-related diseases every hour, making it the leading cause of death in the country. While risk factors such as hypertension, high cholesterol, poor diet, and chronic stress are largely preventable, experts warn that emotional stress also plays a significant role in heart health.
