President Marcos has directed the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to release ₱100 million in local government support fund (LGSF) to typhoon-stricken Masbate for the province's rehabilitation.

- By BETHEENA UNITE

Marcos announced this before affected families in Masbate on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

I also gave instructions because of the governor's request-Governor Kho requested it-so I instructed the DBM, before I left Manila, to download ₱100 million from the LGSF so that you will have immediate funds to use for rehabilitation)," Marcos said.

Marcos also assured the affected families of sustained assistance, saying various government agencies have been mobilized to help them.
