NEW payment machines set to be introduced across car parks will make paying faster, easier and more reliable, according to a council.
The upgraded machines at all Harborough District Council car parks began to be installed yesterday in Market Harborough, and will then be followed by Lutterworth.
Temporary signs will give car park users guidance during the installation period, but disruption will be kept to a minimum.
A council spokesman said: “The upgrade will introduce modern, user-friendly machines offering multiple payment options, including contactless card payments and mobile methods.
“Importantly, parking charges will remain the same.
