Very good Kirklea Care Home on Dundonald Road
An Ayrshire care home for adults with learning and physical disabilities has been given the thumbs-up on its service provision.
Kirklea Care Home Service, on Dundonald Road, Kilmarnock, was graded as 'very good' across two quality indicatorsthe second highest gradings possible.
The gradings come from the Care Inspectorate who made an unannounced visit to the home last month with their findings now published.
Among the key messages, the Care Inspectorate said the service used their knowledge of people to offer “very good person-centred support.”
And staff reported that they were “happy” and “felt supported.”
In addition, people were supported to take part in activities they “enjoyed,” while the service had “strong links” with external professionals.
