CORONATION Street actor Martin Hancock says viewers have not seen the last of his character Spider Nugent.

The eco-warrior turned undercover policeman leaves the cobbles tonight in emotional scenes, bidding a fond farewell to fiancee Toyah Habeeb.

But Martin, who has made three previous appearances in the show, said he hoped the couple will eventually reunite and tie the knot.

He said: "Life has gone wrong between them, it's just bad luck and circumstances.
