Brown's on song as he advances with clean sweep again

- BY SHANE MacDERMOTT

HOME favourite Jordan Brown continued his fast start to the Northern Ireland Open last night.

The Antrim Ferrari, 38, is yet to drop a frame in Belfast this year as he backed up his brilliant 4-0 whitewash over world champion Zhao Xintong on the opening day with another 4-0 drubbing of Ashley Hugill last night at the iconic Waterfront Hall.

Now he has a tasty tie with former world champion Shaun Murphy, the form player on the tour, for a spot in tomorrow's quarterfinals.

“It's nice to play somewhere near the way I know I can,” admitted Brown, who hit breaks of 94 and 73.
