RTE has unveiled its new season schedule of shows coming to our screens over the autumn.

The Traitors makes its Irish debut and starts on RTE One on August 31, airing on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

Hosted by Siobhan McSweeney from Slane Castle, a group of 24 embark on a rollercoaster of suspicion as they try to root out traitors among them and win a potential prize pot of €50,000.

Kevin McGahern will host the spin-off series, The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked, from RTE's Limerick studios.

RTE made the announcement at their autumn schedule launch, with The Late Late Show, hosted by Patrick Kielty, confirmed for a September 12 return.

Steve Carson, director of video at RTE, said: "The coming months on RTE sees an unbeatable mix of quality Irish programmes with something for everyone, from the skullduggery of The Traitors to the excitement of Women's Rugby World Cup and men's Autumn Nations Series, to the joy of seeing (bestselling author) Marian Keyes' much-loved Walsh Sisters come to life on our screens."

The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock-In returns for a third series, while January also sees Tommy Tiernan back in the hotseat with a new line-up of guests for his chat show, now in its 10th season.

In a new series of The End of the World with Beanz, Martin Beanz Warde takes celebs, including Samantha Mumba and Enya Martin, out of their comfort zones and into the unknown.
